January Board Minutes & Highlights

  January Board Minutes Highlights:
* The Board decided to approach the Wyoming State Soccer Association to see if they would consider lowering the bond required to enter a team in the State Cup Gold Division. The bond deadline is in January when spring teams have not had a chance to adequately assess their potential. Dick Smith will approach the state board on this issue.
* A 2008 request to the Park County Recreation Board for financial help with purchasing equipment will be prepared and presented by Nancy Winkler.
* A tentative date for this year's Soccer Etc. Camp has been set in Cody for June 9-12, 2008.
* 2008 Registration will be held at the Cody Recreation Center Monday and Tuesday, January 14 and 15. Scott Morrison and Nancy Winkler will take care of advertising for the registration and Jennifer Schumann, Lisa Heimer, Lee Ann Reiter, and Terry Call will gather the necessary paperwork for registration. Grahm Dietz and Associates will donate the copying of the paperwork.
* The End-of-the-Year picnic was tentatively set for June 8 at Mentock Park.
* Due to scheduling conflicts, the Pizza Kick-Off Party was moved to March 3.
* Due to difficulties and cost of reproduction, the board approved reviewing alternate logo ideas. Scott Morrison will generate several alternate logos for review.
* It was confirmed the current Yellowstone Fire uniforms are no longer available. Jennifer Schumann, Lisa Heimer, and Lee Ann Reiter will review the uniform issue, contact Blair Hotels about their uniform sponsorship, and work on formulating a plan for a changeover to a new design.
* A meeting was held with Jennifer Schumann and Lee Ann Reiter with representatives from Eurosport. They offered several uniform discount packages, offered discounts on team T-shirts and other supplies, and presented a proposal to put a Eurosport link on the Yellowstone Fire web page that would allow Yellowstone Fire to receive a small commission on items purchased through the link. The Board approved placing the link on the web page as long as there are no state rules preventing it. Lee Ann Reiter will follow-up on the Eurosport link.
